YAWL(Yet Another Workflow Language)一个开源工作流语言/处理系统.它基于现有的工作流处理系统与工作流语言的一个精确分析.不像传统的系统,它提供对大部分工作流模式的直接支持.YAWL支持控制流透视图,数据透视图并且能与WSDL标准的web服务相结合.

XFlow is a pure J2EE platform for building, executing and managing business processes and workflows. It is a basis for building collaborative applications as well as integrating processes across an enterprise. XFlow has a small footprint but is extremely powerful. It is designed to be easy to use from the development, deployment and management standpoints.XFlow runs within an EJB and servlet container. JBoss 4.0 (with bundled Tomcat) is the container used in this implementation. The architecture supports distributed and parallel processes within an organization's firewall as well as across organizational boundaries.XFlow is designed for scalability, extensibility and ease of integration with security models and legacy processes. XFlow's service-oriented architecture supports both a simple Java API as well as a web-service (SOAP/HTTP) interface.The following diagram shows a conceptual view of XFlow:Any application or component may be a participant process in XFlow. A participant process is associated with a specific node in a workflow graph. A process receives work items from the XFlow server in its inbox, performs work on the item and returns the item back to the server for routing to other participant processes. Processes communicate with the XFlow server via a client API or via web-services. Examples of participant processes can be any one of the following:A Java application A servlet An EJB A JSP A non-Java application (e.g. .NET application using XFlow webservices)

WfMOpen是WfMC和OMG中所谓工作流设施（workflow facility） (工作流引擎)的J2EE实现。工作流通过扩展的XPDL描述。WfMOpen is a J2EE based implementation of a workflow facility (workflow engine) as proposed by the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC) and the Object Management Group (OMG).The workflow component is based on a set of JAVA interfaces that define an API for a workflow management facility. The basic "omgcore" interfaces follow OMG's Workflow Management Facility Specification, V1.2 very closely, while making some modifications to adapt the CORBA service to the established design practices for a Java API.Workflows are specified using WfMC's XML Process Definition Language (XPDL) with some extensions.Although WfMOpen has its roots in the above mentioned workflow standards, the actual implementation transcends the traditional domain of workflow engines. By design, WfMOpen provides excellent scalability and supports commodity integration technologies, including – but not limited to – SOAP. The workflow component may therefore be used as the core for any process based application implementation and is well suited to provide solutions for BPM (Business Process Management) related jobs.

Workflow.Net是使用微软.Net技术基于wmfc标准的创建工作流引擎。

Taverna项目的目标是提供一种语言和软件工具，方便在eScience中使用工作流和分布计算技术。The Taverna workbench is a free software tool for designing and executing workflows, created by the myGrid project, and funded through OMII-UK. Taverna allows users to integrate many different software tools, including web services, such as those provided by the National Center for Biotechnology Information, The European Bioinformatics Institute, the DNA Databank of Japan (DDBJ), SoapLab, BioMOBY and EMBOSS.The Taverna Workbench provides a desktop authoring environment and enactment engine for scientific workflows expressed in Scufl (Simple Conceptual Unified Flow language). The Taverna enactment engine is also available separately, and other Scufl enactors are available including Moteur. The myExperiment social web site supports finding and sharing of workflows and has special support for Scufl workflows. The Taverna workbench, myExperiment and associated components are developed and maintained by the myGrid team, in collaboration with the open source community.
